TOPIC: Cold snap in November

Cold snap in November 04 Dec 2009 17:21 #770

I've heard reports of icy conditions in the Berg and even snow in some parts, at the end of November. This I have experiences myself in previous years and it seems to be an interesting period in the Berg's weather patterns.

Does anyone have any photos, stories or info about the recent cold weather?

It was very cold in Estcourt for most of that week and snow could be seen on the Berg from Giants all the way up to Sentinel. I was not on the berg but from what I could see it was the second heaviest fall this year. Just goes to show that you can have snow in all months of the year on teh Berg. Weather wise things are very scrambled here at the moment with dry spells, cold spels, hail and heavy down pours following in succession.

Can't see much on the satellite images, it was cloudly over the Berg for most of that period.
