TOPIC: Another long weekend - August 2010

Another long weekend - August 2010 03 Aug 2010 21:20 #1552

I'm always curious to know who's heading out on these long weekends. There must be some trips planned, right? I'm heading out for 3 days in the Monks Cowl area. Will post some pics when back. Happy trails to you all!

Mnweni - my first visit. Up Mnweni and down Rockeries. Hopefully an exploratory dash to check out the approach to the Saddle North Peak frontal route (it's on my list for next year )

Hehe, well met! Come to think of it, we never properly introduced ourselves after barging in on your lunch - sorry about that!!

That night we saw the fire (the one the donkey train started) crawling over the top of Mnweni pass onto the escarpment where it died - did you manage your descent without any trouble?
