Vertical Endeavour offers tours to this mysterious part of the world which has fascinated people for centuries. Our specialties lie in trekking and climbing but we can arrange any kind of tour which includes mountain biking, guided tours around Lhasa and overland trips between Kathmandu (Nepal) and Lhasa.

We offer guided trekking tours in all accessible areas and can tailor-make a trip according to your needs. Some of the major areas and routes include:

- Trekking in the region between Cho Oyo and Everest.

- Trekking up to Camp 3 / Advanced Base Camp on the north side of Everest (6350m) – “the highest trek in the world”, no climbing experience needed.

- The climbing of Lhakpa Ri (7046m) as an add on to the Camp 3 trip listed above – an amazing high altitude climb even for the relatively inexperienced.

- The Kharta valley and the little visited eastern Everest base camp used for assaults on the Kangshung face.

- Trekking in the Kailash region (the famous sacred mountain of Tibet) – can be approached by trekking over the border from the Nepal side, starting at Simikot, or can be approached by vehicle from the Tibet side.

All of the above trips can be done as a packaged tour which includes an overland, 4x4 trip between Kathmandu (Nepal) and Lhasa, along the Friendship Highway. This also includes some days in Lhasa where you will be guided through the Potala Palace, the Johkang temple and all of the well known sites. It will also take you through the towns of Shigatse and Gyantse which are used as overnight stops, allowing you to see their well-known monasteries. It will also take you passed the picturesque Yamdruk lake and over several road passes above 5000m. Of course the northern Everest base camp can also be visited which is quite accessible even if you are not a trekker.
