GPS track log of the Drakensberg Grand Traverse, following the escarpment edge, with a deviation to Thabana Ntlenyana. This is not a definitive route, since there can be countless variations, but rather an indication of what can be done. The data has been edited and filtered to serve as a rough guide for those planning any sort of escarpment traverse, and is not intended to be an accurate reflection of the presence trails or an absolute route to follow. The use of this data with a GPS does not guarantee safety on the escarpment nor does it replace the need for good navigation skills. It should be used in conjunction with the other files available for download.
