Hi all. I need some info on the cave that is in the valley at the back of the ridge that holds devils tooth. (If you are standing on the Tugela falls side.
Where do you park and how safe is the area. We would like to go there over the weekend.

Replied by intrepid on topic Sinyati cave.
If you are referring to Singathi Cave in the Busingatha Valley, you can read more about the cave and how to get there on this page:
www.maloti-drakensberg.co.za/treasure/amazizi/hiking/singathi-cave-trail.html

Note that this area falls under the AmaZizi Traditional Authority. Currently, visits should be arranged through Elijha Mbonane or Bawinile Mtolo (see link above for contact details), and the idea is that a local representative will accompany the visitors. Parking is at a local homestead and will be arranged. Through this arrangement the area can be considered safe to hike in.

Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.
