Ouch...I sound like major dad.
Anyhow back to the quiz. Which prominent peak is ST2 walking toward? That is the peak on the rhs with snow on it, not the cone shaped one in the far distance.

Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

Is that not maybe the Injasuthi Buttress viewed near Hilton Pass? Doesn't seem entirely right. Not sure about that cone shaped peak in the background.

No, but I wish it was. It would mean i had hiked, and more importantly photographed that area.
Here is a clue. This peak falls between the 2 passes that I mentioned in my article entitled 'A sense of Snow' in the Nov 2003 Getaway.
Cheers

with no access to Getaway, I can't benefit from the clues. But that conical peak looks like the one that marks out Bergville's location (except where is Woodstock dam to the left?). So with low confidence, somewhere between Tseke-Tseke and Mhlambonje. Say Elephant country...

Ok team. Not northern berg. Another clue, the conical shaped hill in the distance is the Kamberg. It is definitely always easier when you know the photograph relating to the area that you hiked. So perhaps in my eyes this was an easy one.

This one had me scratching my head. Dont have access to that edition of Getaway, but the clue about Kamberg helped. The peak in question is The Hawk, which is viewed near Ka Masihlenga Pass in this case?

Giants Castle was close. Intrepid is correct it is indeed the Hawk. Well done.
