Please can you give us a wrap up of 2012 including how many significant snowfalls etc. I enjoy keeping track of those sort of stats and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Cheers

I doubt there was anything else after that.

Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

www.ecr.co.za/post/early-snow-in-the-berg/It's snowing in the Berg! Management at the Sani Pass Mountain Lodge in the Southern Drakensberg says snow flakes began dusting the area from about 4.30pm today.
The Lodge's Brian Maher says about six-centimetres of snow's already fallen.
He says while it's not unusual for it to snow around this time of year, those wanting to build snowmen might have to wait a little longer.
Maher says sunshine has been forecast for tomorrow, so unless there's considerable snowfall tonight most of the powder is expected to melt away by tomorrow.
For now though, Maher says hot chocolate and blankets are the order of the day

I think it changed to Langies (assume they were ahead of schedule), the re-supply team were due up Bannerman Pass on Saturday, I checked the hiking register & a team of 14 were in the register to go up Langies & down Giants. They were the only group that could've been the re-supply team.ghaznavid wrote: I hope the GT guys are ok. Doesn't sound like its too bad though. They are going North to South and resupplied at Bannerman Pass last weekend, finishing this weekend. They are probably around where we were when we got hit by snow last year (somewhere between Sani and Rhino).
I saw them coming down the Langies ridge on Sunday so I assume the rain changed their plans of coming down Giants

Up and down Langies - I'm happy I didn't end up on the resupply team!
