Interesting article in the media recently (October 2018) about an attempt to hijack the Drakensberg:

m.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/bid-to-hijack-ezemvelo-20181030
"The agreement, which was already signed between Ezemvelo Wildlife former acting CEO Bhekisisa Khoza, who has since left the organisation, and certain Ezemvelo board members, would have seen the management of both the organisation’s eco-tourism and conservation portfolios being moved to a trust controlled by private individuals."

Not content with syphoning Eskom, RAF, SAA, SABC, VBS etc - the basalt was next on the list.

I wonder if it has something to do with the cable car or fracking.
