Does anyone know if the top of Gatberg will accept a tent or two for overnighting?

Possibly narrow tents, not sure how comfy it would be though...

Can you fit 2 tents on top: yes
Would I recommend it: no

There are a few problems with camping up there:
1) You are very far from water.
2) If there's a thunderstorm, you are basically on top of a lightning rod.
3) If there are really bad winds, it has potential to end very badly due to it being a narrow summit with big drops on both sides.
4) You will have to carry a lot of heavy gear, plus water, up from the river - which is a steep sustained climb even with light packs.

That list sounds a bit like the Berg generally, Ghaz.
Might be what a vertical endeavour is about.

Ok thanks. Wrt. water etc. - just want to do a quick one night stay from Monks so Ok to carry water from stream below on way up. Caution wrt. lightning exposure is very well noted and considered.
