Featured Images of Rock Formations

This is the place to discuss Featured Images of Rock Formations in the Berg.

The idea is to collect images with high photographic and artistic value, relating to rock formations. This refers to smaller rock features such as boulders, cliffs and small pinnacles, rather than larger peaks. For this round, the images are not bound a time period, ie they don't have to be taken recently.

Members may upload one image for the specified time period. Each image should be rated by all members (see rating poll when you view an image). Note that you can rate all of the images, not just one - this makes for better statistics. The image with the highest rating for that period will be featured on the front page for the duration of the following period. It will also be posted on our Facebook page and sent out on our email updates. A copy will also be included in the special sub-gallery for all winning images .

Comments may be made under the images in the gallery, but this thread is the better place for interactive discussion.

Remember to get your entries in. We have four entries so far and I guess I should dig up one myself since there is no time period limit. Anyone need more time on this or should we wrap it up end of the month?

I'll leave submissions open till end of the week, and then leave another week open for voting.

My own submission is called Finga Patso, which is a play on the words "finger" and "Fika". The backdrop to the rock finger being Fika Patso Dam, taken from the escarpment of the QwaQwa Berg.
