My entry: Sehonghong Sunrise

The story: Myself and AndrewR were on a 3 day hike at Vergelegen, only to find that Sehonghong Cave was flooded. We had no tents and didn't want to go down to Nhlangeni Cave, so we opted to bivy in a cubbyhole and get an early start the next day. Setting off at 4:50AM, we were rewarded with this view!

Eishhh, these men!! :silly: well thanks Smurfatefrog for waking us up!! Here is my photo of a sunrise near Mkhomazi Pass, taken on day 10 of a GT. Its not often that a morning greats you with such intensity, and mostly in the cooler months. I actually got out my bag and waited for this shot.

House of the Rising Sun

"There is a house in the Drakensberg, and they call it the Thutumi Hut". This was my first time up at the hut doing a 3 day loop with my wife up Organ Pipes pass. We woke early to watch the sun rise over KZN and colours was just unreal. This hut is truly in a awesome setting in the Drakensberg.

My second is from Ifidi Cave. I went for a quick up and down via the Chainladders on 7 Jan 2016, and spent the night overlooking a storm from a comfortable and cozy cave. The next morning, everything had cleared up and this is what I woke up to.

OK my apologies for not reading the competition rules first time around  Herewith my photo submission taken mid January. We climbed up the Camels Back into Roland's, thereafter we slowly made our way south via Sugar Loaf to Didima cave and down Ships Prow. The pic was taken early morning, day four at Sugar Loaf Mountain.
