Here is my entry for The Red Dragon: Red Mystique

Taken on the June 2016 VRK Pine Hike

The Image was take after sorting out 21 pine trees in the Hospitalspruit Valley. We were perched up on the side of the hill heading upwards and onwards!

Can any of the mods help me here? I've uploaded my image about 4 times now.

It looks fine In photoshop, Lightroom etc but as soon as I upload it to the VE gallery a bizarre desaturation effect takes place.

Great entries so far everyone. Seems like Monk's Cowl is one area that likes to show off its Red Grass - I am throwing in my own entry from that area too.

Moody Red

View across to the Sterkspruit Valley taken from a direct route up to Hlatikhulu Neck on a moody winters day in June 2015. This was on a VE pine tree trip. Patches of red are contrasted against yellow and green as the winter reddening moves in. When the mood lifted the following day, some snow was evident on the escarpment.

Here is my entry, 'Blushing Berg'

Taken on a recent hike at Vergelegen. I'm sure that the colder it got, the more the grass seemed to flush a deeper hue of red.

Seeing as Ngaqamadolo Pass seems topical, here's my entry title "Barking Dragon" - taken on South Ngaqamadolo Pass yesterday, this dog had fallen behind the group going up the pass, and was kind enough to pose for a photo:
