The Friends of the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve are organising an
alien plant eradication morning
on Saturday 22 February at 8 am. RSVP via the
contact details
on their website if you are interested in attending. You do not have to be a member of the Friends association to attend. My husband and I have already attended one session tackling lantana with the Friends of the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve, and it was very worthwhile and lots of fun (although it is hard work). If you live in Pretoria and are looking for a place to train for hikes in the Berg, the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve is a great option as it has two small koppies to hike up. If you decide to hike there regularly, I also highly recommend joining the Friends of the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve, as the membership perks are pretty good. Details about membership can be found
here
.

Those of you who are familiar with the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve in Pretoria may have noticed some construction on the ridge. 50 50 recently aired a segment about this construction during one of their episodes. The segment is available on YouTube, if anyone is interested in finding out more:

A Birding Walk will be taking place this weekend.

Location: Faerie Glen Nature Reserve, Main entrance in January Masilela Drive (old Genl Louis Botha)
Who: Anybody is welcome!

ruthbl, how old is your baba?
My daughter is almost 9 months old. I'd love to take my daughter on a hike with other parents and little ones. See my post here .
