I use a Thermarest Prolite 4 which was a wondeful relief to aching hips from many nights on a foam pad. It is in its 7th year and going strong, unlike many of the other brands. And yes, it too needs some assistance with inflation. As I understand it, this is only an issue in really cold, consistent temps since the moisture from your breath forms ice crystals inside. Not a major consideration in the Berg. My shoulders have started to ache in recent times if I sleep on my side, so I'm looking at an even thicker mat (the above is 3.8cm). Am considering
this one - saw it in Canada. Same dimensions and weight (680g) as the above, but thicker - this one is designed to be inflated (and thus can't be used in Canadian winters for example).
