I'm looking at doing Stones Pass (probably the south gully) and Masubasuba Pass from Cobham some time in December or January (over 3 days). Dates will depend on when I can get a team together. Anyone keen?

Stones Pass has been rated by some as the easiest pass in the Southern Berg, and I have heard rumours of South Hodgeson's Peak having the best view in the Southern Berg - should be good fun!

@ASL: Ghaz, ccjoubert, myself and 3/4 others are going up Pins down Nguza this weekend. I'm leaving Joburg in a car by myself at 2 or 3pm tomorrow - shout if you want a lift and join us! Weather is looking decent, with possibly some afternoon showers as is the norm for this time of year.

So on Friday next week (13 Dec), myself and Fitness are heading up to Garden Castle for a 3 day hike with a Friday head-start. We will be going up Wilson's Pass down one of the Mzimude Passes (probably south gully of the south pass). There is space for many more people and with spending Friday night in Sleeping Beauty Cave (i.e. the headstart), none of the days are exceptionally hard. Most of the time will be allocated to walking around the Mashai and Mzimude valleys, so if you aren't feeling like doing some exploration/khulu bagging you can always have a chilled day on the escarpment.

Anyone who is keen to join can PM me
