Anyone planning on watching Everest released 18 September?

Reviews seem dodge, however so, I'll be watching at Imax purely for cinematics and to remind myself how totaly insane I am to want to do this someday!

*edit* Let's not forget a moment for those lives lost!!!

But first here's to saving up for Killi :S

I don't care if it's a silent movie!

Everest on Imax! Will watch it more than once and get my own copy! :woohoo:

PS. I have the origonal DVD of the Everest Imax movie filmed by David Breashears in 1996. It's stunning!

I saw that at SA's first IMAX when it had just opened. Actually only 1 of 2 films I have ever seen on IMAX (the other one was in the first 3D IMAX in the Middle East, long story). That's actually a scary thought - I haven't seen an IMAX film since 2002...

Something else to look forward to : sherpafilm.com/

Think international release will be sometime in 2016 - currently showing at film festivals abroad.

If any of you wants me to make you a movie of Everest (hopefully less dramatic than the footage shown in the trailer) just lend me your Go-Pro or something similar for 3 weeks - flying out next week for a 3 week visit to Everest and surrounding areas. Can't wait!

Mmm,bound to be disappointing! Hollywood hype. Reading the poster, it says, "most dangerous place on earth"!
Ummm I can think of 20 more dangerous places with no effort ...

Downtown Addis Ababa at 2 a.m. on a Sunday morning for example. Hell, try Warwick Triangle in Durban anytime of the day!
Probably go to see it anyway :)
