The Mweni Cultural Centre won a Jet Community Award in the "Vukuzenzele (Small Enterprise)” category for the KwaZulu Natal region, at the end of October.

The Mweni is a special place in the Berg and it is hoped that tourism will continue to be a positive force in the area, one which is sustainable and managed responsibly, to benefit the local community as well as preserving its unique and warm character.
