Tapatalk

Regarding the videos, several site owners, myself included, have now raised this with Tapatalk and they have indicated that they would look into this for their next software release. So it seems very much like a bug on their side.

Regarding the images, I still see them on my side, so this makes it a little trickier to pinpoint the problem. They do take a few seconds to load for me though. Are you guys using the very latest app version? Have you tried clearing the cache (I have read that this sometimes helps) - see traditionsportsonline.com/threads/tapatalk-for-android-how-to-clear-the-cache.113134/? What platforms and version are you guys running on (eg Android 4.4)?

Just a quick update on viewing embedded videos on Tapatalk: I have followed up the issue with them again. They have confirmed that it will be fixed in the next release of the plugin that allows this forum to connect with their app. Unfortunately it is not a priority fix for them and they cannot give me an indication of when this will be fixed.

The only way to currently get YouTube, Vimeo etc to display in the app is if you put the link to the video between the tags, ie [ url ]www.youtube.com/123456 [ /url ] (without the spaces). Unfortunately this does not show the video when you are using a browser (just a link), so that doesn't really help, unless you post it both ways.

Please note that VE will be offline from Tapatalk until further notice. Their software plugin that is needed for this site to be able to communicate with their app is unfortunately outdated. Waiting for them any further will just keep delaying the updating of software on this site. I have followed this up with them, but unfortunately this is not a priority to them, nor has the issue posted above been fixed. Its a great concept otherwise, and VE will support Tapatalk again in future as long as they keep their plugin updated and working properly. My apologies to those affected by this.
