Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

Not normally within our scope of discussions, but I think it appropriate in this case to commemorate Nelson Mandela, being the leader that he was.
Madiba we remember you and thank you. We wish you could still have been our leader!

Our greatest leader and a leader of leaders. Madiba certainly emulated the majesty and grace of the mountains. Let's hope we can live up to his legacy. RIP Madiba!

“Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So… get on your way!”

Truly a mountain of a man, who walked through the dark valleys of oppression and hatred, only to emerge on the other side and reach the pinnacle of human compassion, forgiveness and grace and in the end to stand on the peaks of dignity and universal respect.
“Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So… get on your way!”

A wise man indeed. A list of some of his quotes:

Perfectly reasonable that we pay tribute to the man here.
After all he had a bigger mountain to climb than any of us...
RIP, and thank you Tata.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner.
There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.
The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb.
No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart that it’s opposite.
For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.
I am fundamentally an optimist. Whether that comes from nature or nurture, I cannot say. Part of being optimistic is keeping one’s head pointed towards the sun, one’s feet moving forward.
There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was sorely tested, but I would not and could not give myself up to despair. That way lays defeat and death.
It always seems impossible until it is done.
