Being deprived of mountains up here on the highveld, I most often find myself getting my "mountain fix" through films or videos. Feel free to share yours as well, even all those Berg videos!
Let me start off with one of my favourites showcasing the Patagonian mountains and Iceland scenery.
This is some serious "mountain porn" right here. You can buy the film or stream from Vimeo.

Some short aerial footage from my new neck of the woods:

Weird? Any suggestions how to fix this? Also, when posting a video this forum seem to truncate into a smaller size than on Vimeo itself.

@saros: this has come up before on the forum. The issue lies with Tapatalk and has been taken up with them by numerous site owners including me. They said they would look into it for a future release, but its been a while now unfortunately.
@LouisvV: the videos only link to this forum from the original source, so I'm not sure what is happening with Vimeo exactly but will see if I can replicate this on my side.

Just watched Toughing the Void again.
Just in case some of you don't know the story, I'll put the rest of my comment in a spoiler.

Warning: Spoiler!
Quite an epic story, if you consider how a slight change in almost any of the events could lead to either or both having not survived. Even just the extra day they stayed at base camp - no ways Joe Simpson would have made it out if base camp had been broken.
Can't understand why people are critical of Simon Yates cutting the rope though - if he didn't, both would have died. I think it is easy to be critical of something when you weren't there.
