Not sure if there is already such a category, searched and didn't find anything (mods, please move if there is).
Lost Waterbottle:
On our Giants/Langies hike, Van forgot his First Ascent water bottle at the entrance of Giants cave (the first of the 2 caves on your left (true right) as you ascend the pass. The bottle is transparent with a greyish tint and a black cap. Longer and thinner than your typical 1L Nalgene bottle. He left it under a dripping stalagtite immediately outside the entrance of the cave entrance closest to the escarpment (or if this isn't specific enough, the cave entrance with the lowest roof
). If anyone finds it, please let me know.

I have moved it to the Notice Board section, which is labelled as "A place for classifieds, linking up with others, advertising trips, buying & selling gear, lost & found."
Out on interest, how much is the water worth, compared to how much it might cost to get it back?

Smurfatefrog,
How many Bitcoins? At the MTM price right now, about 0,00042.
For me, it is worth zero, but for Van, who is in trouble with his wife as it was her favorite water bottle, it is probably worth quite a bit more

Not sure Van.
I don't personally have it, its with someone else in PMB. I just happened to see they had gone up Giants and stopped at the cave on the Saturday.
Maybe get a courier quote and see if its worthwhile

Courier is about R100 with postnet (or it was a few years ago), so once you factor in inconvenience, it is probably cheaper to just buy a new one.

It is currently in Notties and I am driving past there to GP on Sunday, although that is a bit of a detour. Also I don't know that getting it to Midvaal is that helpful anyway - once you factor in time and cost of collecting it, you may as well have bought a new one anyway.what do you think its going to cost to courier is up to Centurion, I can buy a new one for R170
