@Intrepid, I wouldn't gamble with my hard earned money on Mr P stuff, I have made contact with them and am awaiting a response, I have offered to use there new technical stuff and then report on it, or if I don't report on it I will at least try arrange so that someone can try,
Who knows maybe the guys at Mr P have got some good stuff, but my thoughts are its typical M.I.C (made in china) brand.
Will keep everyone posted on Mr P, who knows maybe there are not interested in our market but then I ask why they have such a expensive tent and top end sleeping bag?
Just my thoughts

Wear the casual clothing guys. Nothing really lasts up there, be it 1000 bux Cape storm or 150 bux mr p. But please don't buy stuff you need to stake your life on!

Eg. Tents, bags, boots and sleeping bags. Make sure your cold weather gear is the shiz.

It's kinda like buying a Landcruiser pickup versus a Fortuner 4x4 and trying to tackle the Roof, and live.

I swear by Isodome, and have slept with it pressed flat onto my face by the wind. Serioustribe didn't sleep at all but at least the tent kept him down.

A Mr P tent experience would have been like that skit in Thin Blue line where they took those Yobboz camping. They woke up to stars........ :)

Just saying.

Hey Fitness

Did you ever get a reply from Mr. Price Sport with regard to testing their stuff?

No I never got a reply and I emailed 3 different people, either they did not receive there mails or they are not interested.
Seems silly I feel if they are not interested as it is an opportunity for them to change the views of many on this forum if there gear has improved and is decent enough.

If Mr P staff can't be bothered to reply email their MD. His name is Clint Larsson. Maybe then there will be a reaction?

So who here would've been brave enough to use a R300 Mr Price sleeping bag on the escarpment this last weekend in sub -5°C temps? :silly:
