Clearly my memory of numbers isn't as good as I thought (617,1000001 and 1000000003 are all prime numbers - or so my memory tells me). My kitchen scale is older than me, anything under 1kg will usually not even be detected by it, but at the extreme price of R150 for a new one
, who can afford it...

My 360 Deg Explorer 70 is 2.27kg... according to my kitchen scaleintrepid wrote: @ghaz: I happened to see the Venture 70 at a CUM store this weekend. The label says it weighs 2.25kg which is very reasonable for that size. Maybe invest in a new kitchen scale?

At R700 the Venture 70 is a steal!!! Get it! Two of my hiking buddies use this bag and are happy with it. I bought the Venture 60 awhile back for R500 when it was on special at CUM. At these prices you can buy it just to lend it to someone going on their first trip with you.
