Advise please.
I'm looking to buy a decent down jacket at a reasonable price. I do run fairly hot normally. I need a jacket that I can use on Kilimanjaro with multiple layers and a shell jacket, but also to use in our SA winters & the Drakensberg. So i want something warm, not too bulky, & compacts fairly small.
I've been comparing the Decathlon Forclaz MH500 -10°C (650 fill 85/15), and the First Ascent Transit Down (650 fill 90/10), and the KWAY expedition series Down (850 fill).
What are your thoughts?
Any others you would recommend?

Lol, a man of few words but I certainly agree with Decathlon's product being better. Base on what you said though and also reviews I've seen on it as a top class lightweight product, I would look at the MT100 hoody rated to -5 deg. It will be much more versatile for you I think...

Agreed, I have that exact men's Forclaz jacket. The hoody is a bonus and I double up with the First Ascent down when its super cold.
