Hi Guys. Elinda, myself and 2 of our hiking buddies hiked into the Red Wall Valley via the ridge above and leading from Lower iNjisuthi Cave. The lack of pathways in this valley suggest that not many hikers go there! What an awesome place seeing the Red Wall flanked by the iNjisuthi Buttresses on one side and the Triplets on the other. On the 1st of January Elinda and myself named it Engagement Valley for that one day for a special reason

Congrats. Nice place to get engaged.
My mate and I have camped on two occasions in that valley fairly close to the wall. On both occasions w were trying to gain access to Hilton's pass, but due to the extreme rainfall had to retreat on both occasions back to LIC.
As you mention, no paths. We accessed it via the valley running past LIC, a lot of bolder hopping as I recall which took a fair bit of time. I think the ridge would have been a nicer option.
Great pics. Looks green, was there much water? Amazing variety of flowers in that little valley.
We had water coming over the top, but as i mentioned we got completely rained out. Here is a pic taken from one of the trips.

Congratulations guys! What a fantastic setting to make a commitment.
I was camping at Injisuthi and saw your entry in the mountain rescue register. I must admit that you did cross my mind when those showers came pouring over from the Escarpment. Nothing too hectic I would imagine!
The images are brilliant. Getting into that valley will certainly be on my mind the next time at Injisuthi.
