Just a heads up.
As a back up to our maps I downloaded the Mnweni - Rockeries Pass track onto my Garmin Edge 520 bicycle GPS.
Not knowing whether it would work or not, it was literally a life saver!
We summit-ed this past Sunday and the visibility in the mist was about 15m. Using the GPS it got us safely going in the right direction where we set up camp.
We have done about 15 hikes in the Berg over the last 18 years and have come to the conclusion that we will NEVER hike in the Berg again without a GPS
