Hi all, bit off this forums topic, but has anyone spent time in Southern Madagascar. Fort Dauphin, I'll be there for three months shortly. Any info on Routes, Hikes, Climbs etc. Thinking Kit surfer and surfskie more?

Hey Frosty, not off topic at all, that's what the General category is for! This is really wide open for anything, and should any topic or area become popular, it is very easy to create a special category for that.

I don't know much about Madagascar, except for some serious big wall climbing down in the south on the Tsaranaro face. Alard Hüfner and co opened a route there. You might want to chat to him about more options.

Doing consulting work for QMM, a new illimnite mine.

Will need to try and find a climbing partner. But probably worth bring the rack and doing some adventure trad. Not always may favourite, but always better than adventure abing.
