- Description
- A scene from the Tlanyaku valley in December of 2020. My sister and I were on a mini traverse from Giant's Castle to Didima. This trip will remain in our memories, with lots of green, lots of horses, lots of laughter, and getting used to typical afternoon thunderstorms in the Drakensberg. It was almost lunchtime, and I had a great opportunity to capture the stunning Red Hot Pokers of the Tlanyaku valley in the foreground, wild horses and a green backdrop in the middle of the photo, and the two unknown waterfalls near the Didima Buttress in the distance (the falls are actually located in a steep gulley facing Didima Buttress, and the gulley itself is described by Tony Marshall in a VE thread of Didima pass. The falls are seasonal, as the particular wall that the waterfalls go over, is dry in Tony's photo).
