We'd really like to draw attention to South Africa's highest peaks.

Hope this article inspires exploration and climbing of these peaks, and also that official names are given to the unnamed ones.

Check out the dedicated sub-album in the Drakensberg gallery. The thumbnails in this article link to the album, where there are more picture available. This album is only visible after login.

Material on the other Khulus will be published in time.

Hi there,

Does anyone know where I can find the co-ordinates of Thabana Ntlenyana?
Or, better yet; if you wouldn't mind sharing them?

Mike, there is a waypoint for it in the download for the highest peaks in Lesotho , which I've personally measured.

Thanks Chris, yes I did see that; but don't have any mapping software (yet)...so was hoping for just the co-ords so I could punch it into the Nuvi & see where the peak is etc.

You can open a GPX file with a simple text editor - you will see all of the XML tags, just search for what you want. I just opened the GPX file with my Firefox browser too and it displays it in a neat format.

The other option is to download EasyGPS , which is a free application for GPSes, designed for this kind of thing.
