Ja, I realise that. I just wanted to make a tongue-inthe-cheek comment.
I actually also know where the cave is, although I think that I probably found it a much much harder way than you did, but as you say 'mum's the word.May it remain largely undiscovered for a long long time.

I'm not sure who gave you directions, but with all respect to you and them, I wouldn't have given them for love or for money. But hey, you know now- just don't go tell every Joe and Harry (not that I think you are that sort of guy). ((I hope)) Joking!

As I say, my intention is to take a group of school children (a selective small group of high school kids) to the cave as an educational trip, with a goal to clean the cave, try and instil an attitude of respect for nature and conservation of the environment in them...

A cave like this is a treasure and needs to be looked after, I have a great deal of respect for such things and look forward to seeing this cave in person, how often in ones life does one get to see such a significant thing?

'Twas not I, mostly cause ghaznavid couldn't afford my price. ;)

It is a fact the world over that an increased public awareness and to traffic to archeological sites such as these has lead to their degradation. And there examples of this even in the Berg with some of the rock art sites. So we definitely need to protect caves such as this one.

I got my mother on top of the escarpment in roughly the same manner. I didn't even use Photoshop - never said I didn't use a computer though...

That's one huge dino! And one hang of a good climber for something with such small arms...

Update on Dinosaur Cave for 2019. Armed with an outline idea of where Dinosaur Cave was, we went looking for it over a weekend in 2019. We initially took the wrong side of the valley that contains Dinosaur & Cow Den Caves which added a chunk of extra walking but this did give us a great view of the many caves on the opposite side of the valley. Lots of walking later....

In general all of the higher level paths in the Injasuti part of the Berg seem remarkably unused and overgrown.

The valley that contains Dinosaur Cave had almost no sign of people with the paths overgrown to the extent that they were more like faint game trails. There was a lot of game in the area with many klipspringer, baboons and frequent signs of porcupine. We were also lucky enough to see a pair of Martial Eagles. There was no sign of people in any of the 6 caves we found in the area with no fires, footprints or rubbish.
