Boulder Cave

Before I get some snarky remark, I know that a rock kind of thing is spelt boulder.

While on my way to Pillar Cave on saturday I noticed a cave that should be awesome, when walking to it I found it to be useless, but 2m from it there is an awesome low roof 6-sleeper cave. As far as placement goes I don't see much use for it, but its floor is flat, its very well sheltered (its got tons of vegetation in front of it) and its right next to the river (but high enough to not get flooded, the river is still very wide at this point). Its GPS co-ords are 29d43.979'S, 29d11.074'E and its at 1997m.




Ps. Has anyone ever come accross it, or is it named? If not, its name shall be Bolder Cave (long story)...

I dont see why you say long story when the reason the cave is called boulder cave, is that there is a boulder smack BAM in the middle.(I was with you when you named it)

@Ross: I'm trying to remember if I actually had a reason for naming it "Bolder" Cave over "Boulder" Cave, it beats what its name on my GPS ("JN2")...

Is this not what I have known and has been recorded as Pillar Cave Annex - up and across the river above the small waterfall ?

No, this cave is before Pillar Cave Annex, it also has a flatter floor and a lower roof. I posted a pic of Pillar Cave Annex in the Caves gallery a few months ago...
