Yes, it’s not Reidio. I started that by shooting from the hip without the necessary homework......

A fascinating and interesting find Smurfatefrog! An excellent reason for me to go back and visit this area.............if this cave is up to now unknown amongst hikers perhaps it should be called after the person who discovered it..........;)

We all saw the very obvious possible cave, but three of us visited it, so would have to be something with a Norwegian, a Smurf and a Rough Ruth :P

I'd think Yodelers cave makes the most sense though

That one, I put more at -29.074278° 29.309786° - opposite side of the valley to what Smurf said, but I could be wrong but am 99% sure :hike: Sitting at about 3200m. Right next to a decent path. Good shelter yes.

Revisiting an old thread here as part of a thread clean-up in the caves category.

Can I suggest we shift the name of this cave to "Yodler's Ridge Cave" rather than simply "Yodler's Cave". The reasoning is that it is fairly far removed from Yodler's Cascades itself, and the name "Yodler's Cave" can therefore be somewhat misleading. Additionally there may well be a cave out there that is strongly associated with Yodler's Cascades and that is more deserving of this name.

Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

I thought it had been added to all the maps as Rough Norwegian Smurf Cave

But yeah, I agree that Yodlers Ridge cave makes sense
