Does anybody have any pics of Jubilee cave? Near grasscutters cave towards Icidi. I Googled but couldn't find anything definitive.
Anyone been to it? If so, please provide me with a bit of feedback on it.

In June 2021 Harry and tonymarshall overnighted in Jubilee Cave after our descent of Icidi Pass. Jubilee Cave is a large overhang, under the waterfall just to the left of the photo below, with the main sleeping area on the right, and there is also a small annex cave at the right of the photo, although it is not a good sleeping area as the floor is very rough.

There are two main walled off sleeping areas in the main overhang, which can sleep about five people.

To the left of these main sleeping areas are two other large level sleeping areas, but the gravel of their floor is extremely rough and they are not walled off.

Towards the left of the overhang is another small walled off sleeping area, but it isn’t great either. It can be seen that although Jubilee Cave is a huge overhang, there is very little usable level space.

Jubilee Cave is a short way off the trail of Icidi Pass, but there is a good trail branching off from the pass trail to the cave. Jubilee Cave is at S28° 49.542' E28° 58.302' at 1895 m, and the path junction to the cave is at S28° 49.512' E28° 58.329' at 1875 m, both my coordinates (WGS84). The cave is visible from the main trail, and it is easy to see how to get to it with the side trail whether approaching from upstream or downstream.

In summer there should be water in the stream below the waterfall flowing over the cave, otherwise there is water all year round in the stream at the bottom right of the photo below.

Thanks Tony, that is great info. What does Grasscutters cave look like these days? Can it sleep 8 people?

Last year we didn’t go into Grasscutters Cave to look at it, as we had both overnighted there before, and didn’t think it would have changed much. There are some photos of Grasscutters Cave on the Icidi Pass thread, in my write up and Sabine’s write up (and also some photos of Jubilee Cave). In 2013 our group of 5 slept in Grasscutters Cave quite comfortably, spread out in lots of smaller areas, and I’m sure it will be possible to sleep 8 people there.
