Very sad news indeed. He seemed in great health and his usual self when we saw him a few months back.
Both he and John gone - they were pretty much MCC.

I believe I have several photos of him. I will dig in to my archives but will have to edit it as it is often taken with my family. I'm sure there are many other people however that should have photos. I also have another friend whom very well may have photos as well.
more apt for the purpose.
With regards to suggestions what to do
One could also approach Leonard from the Centre or Rejoice - Whom last I had note of was the actual manager of the centre. I unfortunately don't have her contact number.
I personally don't see anything wrong with a plaque and some suggestions made here sounds very good - bench and all the things that goes with it. I appreciate that some may want to do something different in giving something meaningful to the family (I could be wrong) but that is I think a separate issue and one could maybe have a two pronged approach to serve this purpose as well?
I do hope we can get to some conclusion soon

I am saddened to hear of this. I met Agrippa only once about six years ago, but his cheerful friendliness remains with me.

I never met or knew Agrippa, but he sounds like a wonderful man. My condolences to all his family and friends.
As was mentioned a bench with a commemorative plaque would be great. However if it's wood the bench may deteriorate over time and if a brass plaque is used it could even be stolen for scrap. Oftentimes people also don't bother reading a small sign at the back of a bench. An idea is possibly a bench with a small granite plaque set in concrete in front of it. A friend of mine has one in Gansbaai in this sort of set up overlooking the ocean. Just an idea:
