Large group accommodation

I am taking a group of 25-30 people up to Tugela falls in September. About half of them are novices. We will leave Johannesburg on the Friday afternoon. I usually sleep over at Witsieshoek backpacker/dorms. They are unfortunately full. My alternative usually would be to find a corner in the monstrous unused building at the trailhead, but with such a large group and novices I don't want to risk it and/or have newbies experience their first night in the Berg there.
I am looking for alternative accommodation options on route to Witsies which will allow us to be at the Witises trail head around 9-10am on the Saturday morning. Can anyone recommend anything in for example Puthaditjaba, Kestel, Harrismith, Sterkfontein dam areas?

That is quite a large group considering the maximum group size allowed is 12

I have stayed at Glen Reenen in Golden Gate. Takes about an hour to Witsieshoek.

This an interesting observation. I am aware of the fact that there are max nr's in groups (Thought it was 20?) as I in my own undertakings sometimes have a fairly large group but always try and limit this to the minimum which in most cases don't exceed 10. I am against large groups apart from the rules on this yet have not seen much concern about this in the forums. The current trend in the Berg with VERY large groups goes unregulated with little concern about this to my knowledge.
Either way - it remains a point that often concerns me in my thinking and what this is doing to the terrain where these groups squat, camp, and literally scar the terrain.
Im curious to know if indeed there are some kinds of action taken to regulate formally. The only effective way of managing this is from the various points of departure when bookings are made ad fees are paid, but don't see this being done in any way. This is the way of everything ells being managed by the powers that be I suppose.
