Does anyone know if the original Slingsby hiking maps are still available?

My understanding (and this is second-hand information) is that the printing plates for these maps were destroyed in a fire and are thus out of print. I remember in the mid to late nineties that one could almost only buy the Southern Berg maps because that's all that was left, the ones for the Central and Northern Berg were sold out. As far as I am aware, the only way to get hold of copies these days is to buy them second hand.

HI All,

Apologies if this conversation has been had before. I am looking for a place to purchase Slingsby maps and potentially cheaper that R100 per map. I contacted Slingsby.co.za and they have them but said kznwildlife are responsible for the printing and distribution and can offer them cheaper. I cannot get through to kznwildlife on this matter.
Have anyone bought or know where i can these maps? I am trying to get them cheaper but if its my stinginess thats the issue, i can accept that too.
Any help is appreciated.

Bear in mind that there is a distinction between "Slingsby's maps" (which have been out of print for many years) and their successors which are sometimes referred to as the Geomaps or simply as "the hiking maps" because they are current. I'm guessing you are after the Geomaps.
