Hello,
I am planning to do the DGT in November and looking for security advice.
Thunderstorm ( every experience and advice ) - please don't state the obvious ex: start hiking early, etc.
Re-supply: I plan to go down at Giant castle camp for re-supply and expect the next day climb to be a long day. Are the caves big enough to be a good safe shelter for thunderstorm ? What about general security ? If time and energy permit, we might plan to continue moving to the top, and won't have time to do the summit, so was thinking to plant the tent somewhere up there not too expose, if even possible... Any comments / recommandations ?
