Security questions for upcoming Giants Castle Area Hike

Hi all, here is a picture of the route option we intend to take over the coming weekend. I just have a couple of security concerns I want to check out as I've read some scary stories about the Giants Castle area. My first question, is whether or not we will be safe on the ridge very near to Jarateng South Pass. We are doing from Giants Castle Camp to the top in one day, so I don't think we'll have much extra energy or time to move elsewhere...

Secondly will we be safe on the second night right near the top of Giants Castle pass? The idea would be to stay as close to the South African side of the escarpment as possible, and we will stay as far east from the actual pass as we can go without making the next day too long.  

If anyone has any pins for 'safer' camp spots on the escarpment in this area then please share.
