I have heard that 2 suspects were subsequently arrested by Basutho Police who where in possession of the stolen goods. They pointed out another 10 suspects who were the ones actually involved in the attack. Most of the stolen property was recovered and 7 of the suspects were found guilty, the other 3 being juveniles with the cases still pending.

If anyone else has more information on this incident please feel free to share it.

Though it has been over 2 years, I think we should still take to heart the lessons learned.

I did the Grand Traverse a week after the incident! Bannerman Cave had been \"closed\"...the sleeping area was blocked off with twigs. We made sure we covered most of the Giants Castle area in one day and did guard duty while camping in the Mokhotlong valley.

I'm not aware of any aircraft crashed in that area at that time. There was a plane crash in the southern Berg last year and a minor helicopter crash in Mweni/Ampitheatre area in 2004. What gully are you referring to? Where you north or south of Cathedral?
