Watch these buggers if going up the pass by car. They tap you R30 for Road Tax and try not to give you a recite. We had just driven up for a cup of that hot chocolate at the hotel and they tried it with us. There were a few guys at the hotel who had been taken. On the way down we warned everyone coming up.
Big problem is that they are doing this to others who are actually travelling in Lesotho and then you wind up at a road block where you don't have your road tax/3rd party papers.
Be warned.

So the guys at the Lesotho border post are doing this? Did you get away with not paying since only going to the chalet?
