Snowy September

In sep 2024 i headed out for a 6 day solo trip to try and catch the big front that was moving in.  And got lots of snow.  I may have poseted this on the forum, cant recall, but think it was on insta'brag'.  Pease enjoy.

Thanks getapix appreciate the love.  It was quite an experience.  I hiked into that spot two days before the front came through as I didnt want to be hiking through the snow and wanted to try and get the lighting as they front moved in at sunset.  Sadly the light died as the mass of clouds arrived just prior to sunset, its all about timing.  Sadly I haven't worked out how to push and pull the fronts according to my time needs, that would be useful

.Here are a few more for you to enjoy.  

There is a family of Dassies near the partially built 'house' and I was able to sit for about an hour slowly creeping up to them, lots of time to kill when you are up there alone and no where to go.  This big male eventually realised I wasnt a threat, and he was getting cold in the rocks, came out and glared at me.
 
This was looking down the valley towards Shepherds Cave.
