MCSA refers to a C-grade frontal route on Champagne Castle. Does anyone know anything about this route? Would a C-grade escarpment bound route not constitute a pass?

I think its probably more scrambling than it is hiking, and thus more of a climbing route than a pass, though sometimes the line between the two can get blurred. I've tried a number of times to spot that route while going up Gray's Pass. Its not that obvious and would likely be very zig-zaggy and contrived, again, more of scramble and climbing route than anything else.

I get the feeling that you could spend years exploring possible routes in the Berg and would still barely cover one reserve. Probably worth looking into some time (with some proper equipment and experience though)...
