New boundry fence on route to Solar Cliffs?

Greetings, on a recent hike up Mhalwazine valley towards Didima I observed an impressive new fence being constructed, presumably to keep grazing cattle out of the reserve, which in recent years have been intruding right up to Didima confluence.

I asked the guys putting up the fence (and also reception people) if the old stiles allowing hikers access to Didima area via Solar Cliffs would be replaced, but they did not seem to know if this would be done.

Anyone close to this work know if the stiles will be replaced?

bumping this, since i would like to go this way soon with a largish party. Anyone hiked up Mhalwazini valley past solar cliffs since the new fence was completed? Are the stiles in place to easily hop over?

I went that way in October, wondering what we would find. We could see the fences had been replaced, but that the new fence was only 1.2 m high, and normal barbed wire, not mesh, which would be easy to climb through. When we got to the crossing point, the fence there was virtually non existent from people climbing over and through it, and it was possible to just step over it as most of the wires were off the poles and hanging close to the ground. So I would not worry too much about it, even if it has been repaired since then, locals crossing have probably damaged it again.

And there were still cattle grazing in the park up the Mhlwazini, almost as far upstream as the Didima.

Haha, thanks Tony much appreciated.

I thought the polls I observed them sinking looked quite impressive, maybe they ran out of funds ...
