Hi All
Just wondered if it is allowed to sleep at the carpark overnight? If so, any idea of the rate?

Hi Serious Tribe

We were there at the end of December 2020 and a new building has been constructed (see pic)

Sleeping is allowed. There were quite a few hikers that had spent the night there and delayed their hike due to the rain.

It's very basic. Just an empty tiled room. There are toilets and a shower but no running water yet.

As for cost, I'm not sure.

Quite some improvement. Pity about the flower beds taking up so much parking space.

I was last there a year ago, I wonder how progress on the road is - it was in a shocking state a year ago. Progress on paving that road has been super slow, when I first went to Sentinel Car Park in 2012, they had already done a fair amount of it - progress in the 8 years between then and my last visit hasn't been that significant given the amount of time.

The paving of the trail to the ladders has happened fairly fast, which is great. With the amount of foot-traffic, paving that trail was long overdue.
