ST,

There was plenty water at this spot, as well as everywhere on the route. Not as much as in your photo, but more than enough to drink from, and quite noisy actually. I stopped at this spot as I wanted to take a pic of the pass behind the waterfall :-) We went up it last year, and I pointed it out to the others in the group, and sommer took a pic of it as I was talking about it. That false summit you can see from here lulls you in a bit :-) But there is still quite a bit of hard work to be done once you crest it.

But regarding water, there was plenty flowing everywhere on Sunday on the way down, basically everywhere along the route we took, except on the ridge from 1TreeHill down to the river by the hotel, so no water here the last 5kms.

Thanks and good to know.  Means I wont have to lug to much water up that gully.  It was fun coming down, and there seems to be a faint path on the true right, so looking forward to going up it.

PS. Mixed snow conditions tend to hide the paths and I recommend using 2 ski poles for balance as you can see most holes and small rocks underfoot...
