Have hike up-mlambonja pass & down Tseketseke pass 3-5sept & couldn't believe all the writings on the inside of the door of the hut. (first time to the hut) What makes people to do that?
The hut & surrounding was clean though accept for an empty brandy bottle inside the hut...

Rinus
I was in centenary hut in June. There is no window glass but otherwise ok, solid roof. There are also bunks with bare springs. We were there in a strong gale and slept in a side room. The wind rattled the door all night and brought in ash from veld burns - not pleasant. I would bring a tent as back up. The hut is great as a kitchen / dining room.

Last month my Dad and I enjoyed doing the Meander hut loop (returning via the Bergview path) while staying at Giants Castle. I am not sure what the previous state of the hut was, but it is now being rebuilt and is looking good. Does anyone have further info on what is happening here?

Staff told me, in July, they just had to finish the road there. "Hopefully by Nov/Dec this year." she said
Maybe just call Giants Reception and find out. The plan is to have people able to drive to the hut as far as I can tell.
(assuming we're talking about the same hut)
