I haven't entered one of these in ages, so here's my (admittedly cliche) entry:
Description:
In February 2020 I did a 3 day hike from Witsieshoek, up the Chain Ladders and down Namahadi Pass. The plan was to go pass bagging in the Free State, but after it rained all night and continued to rain all morning, we abandoned that plan and instead went to take a leasurely stroll across the Amphitheatre and enjoy the sights and sounds of a flooded Tugela Falls. It was an amazing day spent in the mountains!

Taken near Curtain and Wave Caves in the summer of 2017 after hiking down Mzimude pass. I had the afternoon to spend experimenting with long exposures among the numerous streams, springs and small waterfalls.

My entry is called Red Reminiscence:
Gallery Link
The mesmerizing Red Wall at Injisuthi, sporting two waterfalls, bathed in a natural morning. I got this shot because I went to take in the great view of the Western Injisuthi Triplet from the escarpment edge around there. I remember pondering how on earth one would climb the peak. Eleven years later I was to return to that spot, and not just reminisce on how I felt the previous time I had been there, but to participate in an unforgettable ascent of a new route variation on the peak that you can see from there.

Mountain Abundance
Was fortunate to hike up on the escarpment during last years good rainy season. The abundance of water was seen with all kinds of cascading waterfalls...
Just 10 minutes prior it was cloudy.

I have posted 3 entries. The first is my main entry, the other 2 are taken from slides and are not of the best quality.
The Nkosazana Twins
Taken on a trip at the end of April 2008, where we spent two nights at the top of Gray's Pass. Enjoyed some of the best light I've experienced in the Drakensberg.
The Nkosazana Twins Link
Frosted Nkosazana
Taken from a slide. Illustrating the difference the Drakensberg cold can make. Taken during a trip in July sometime in the 1970's.

The Tugela Drops
Taken from a slide. Nice illustration of the extent of the falls. Taken during a trip in January sometime in the 1970's.

Whytes Cave Waterfall
Anyone who has been to Whytes Cave will be familiar with this waterfall. It has its source in the valley above the cave and plunges into a beautiful turquoise pool below - one of my favourite spots in the Berg!

Sneaking in a last minute entry...
This is one of my favorite spots in the Berg and was probably one of the very first hikes I did as a young child. I can remember looking up in awe from the edge of the ice cold pool at the bottom at my two older brothers, who had hiked around to the top via the Crack and were giving my parents heart failure as they leaned over the edge peering down at us. Have since hiked it more times than I can remember - the swim at the top is notably warmer!
