(Referring to the post before the photos)- Well maybe the end did justify the means. :P

Whats the new verdict on Andre's Knob then; a hikeable khulu using the grassy slope approach?

Andrew will have to give you more info, but I did get a video of him from the ledge to the summit. When I get a chance I will put it onto Youtube and post it either here or on the Andre's Knob thread.

At the time Andrew rated it a C-grade scramble. But the question has always been whether or not one can reach the access ledge without ropes - Andrew said he thinks so, but from the Walker's Pass side.

Once on the ridge leading to Andre's Knob, I scrambled to the top. But, I came down grass slopes a little to the side. There is a 1m high rock band to get through which is the only spot you might need your hands. Getting to the ledge is either the scamble I did although if you approach from the valley to the east, you should be able to hike up on grass slopes the whole way

Jonathan has of course done it again - we are still talking about Andre's Knob :-)

Now that the story is complete, the really exciting part will start.

Amongst those 1700+ photos, Jonathan has lined up a few photos for the berg photo quiz. I believe the first photo will show him in short pants, and that we need to guesss the khulu it is :-)
