Someone needs to warn the motorbike riders that they are likely to be mistaken for a special police patrol looking for dagga smugglers and cattle rustlers. The chances are that, in time, they will be shot at.

Brilliant. A simple warning sign: Motorcyclists beware of ongoing muggings

A conciliatory info gathering approach sans expletives might have had a better outcome. The more fuel you add, the bigger the conflagration.

It is worrying, because if you look at the dates on the image, this seems to have become quite established. www.facebook.com/pg/drakensbergendurotours/photos/?ref=page_internal

There are numerous bikes in the image.

I am all for different user groups making use of the berg, but I don't believe that this form of activity is appropriate for the area. Apart from the potential damage to the environment, and accelerated erosion this could cause in a short space of time, the noise aspect is going to ruin the area as regards solitude are concerned. I hiked here in May, and the noise from the Cathedral Peak helicopters was really irritating.

This area needs, as a matter of urgency, to become part of the Park before the floodgates open and any and every unacceptable activity is taking place. What options are there to assist with this happening?

Not at all, was not aimed at anyone on the forum. Just an observation that a different approach may have worked better.
