How about the Old Woman Grinding Corn from the top of Ship's Prow Pass?

Called a friend...and he said he'd go with Stijn's comment about being north of Sentinel.

Sorry guys this is an unusual one

PS: the peak in the background is not the Sentinel. It's actually lower than the escarpment.

Its not a khulu, but evidently the rock doesn't get a lot of sun there.

Ok, that leaves the following possible names:
- Shaddow
- The misty mountains (my precious, gollum, gollum)
- The smokey mountain
- Cloud Peak
- Ash mountain
- Insert random made up peak/Lord of the Rings reference here...

 gallant effort.

OK, so this was a curve ball. The pic was taken in the Free State Berg, above Phuthaditjhaba. The free-standing peak in the background has a Sotho name that more or less means what I hinted at in the last post. It is visible in the distance from Sentinel Car Park. Anyone care to take a shot at what name that is, or are we done here?

The peak is Lefika-le-Moriti, photo taken from the headwaters of the Ts'ehlanyane. It's a very distinct, free-standing, chimneypot-like peak visible in the North from Sentinel Car Park.

I stand under correction here, but I understand it means something to the effect of the Rock In/Of Shadows. Can anyone confirm?
